An excellent scenic loop starting from San Lucio Clusone, through the Fogarolo mountain pastures, rich in pastures and woods. Good fitness required, no exposed sections.
One of the many ways to reach the lightning rod shelter. Very nice circular route. In some places, it looks like an alpine path at much higher altitudes. Usually I combined the summit of Pizzo Formico, but today I gave priority to looking for and observing the fauna. Lucky day with the sighting of two female deer and 15 moufflons, one of which is a solitary male. It's not the first time I've seen moufflons in the Bergamo area, but honestly I've always looked for them and found them elsewhere. Just above the San Lucio refuge is the meadow called Pianone with the Doctor Giulio Romelli hut. Here was born one of the first ski slopes in the Bergamo area with its hotel and ski lift. Today, it is almost unthinkable to believe that at 1300 mt. there was all that snow and for several months of the year.
