This route was planned by komoot.
The worst part of the route is... getting to the parking lot with the car! The last few kilometers are dirt roads, in some parts the road is bad and with many potholes. Apart from this the trail is very scenic, a particular once on the crest of Ramaceto which, with its amphitheater shape and its prominence, offers wonderful views of the sea and the surrounding woods (not on the day we ventured). At the beginning of the crest there are signs that warn and advise against the route if you are without equipment, with fog, ice or snow. Apart from the usual precautions to take in the mountains, we did not encounter any difficulties on this trail different from those present on any mountain trail. There are only a few slightly exposed sections but always very banal.
And finally Ramaceto is ours too :-D! We'd been there before, but couldn't walk the loop as we originally planned to. Disclaimer: WAIT FOR MORE HUMAN TEMPERATURES to do this. Your health depends on it, and you know that we care a lot :-P.
Wonderful view. Route not suitable for very hot days
Did you know that in the Aveto Regional Park there are more than 500 km of marked trails? The Park authorities have also created day-long trails called the Park Rings. Today I am along the A6 Ring or Mount Ramaceto Ring. Once you reach Ventarola in the municipality of Rezzoaglio (Genoa) you can park in a convenient parking lot and continue towards the houses. Ventarola (846m) is a small village of stone houses, some of which have been renovated, like the last one on the left, which has been transformed into the Ventarola Refuge (accessible only by reservation). This village has always been an important connection point for trade between the Po Valley and the Ligurian Riviera. Once you enter Ventarola, start following the signpost with the full yellow triangle. After about two kilometres on flat ground you arrive at the Crocetta Crossroads where you turn right, keeping the Pic-Nic area on your right. You then climb along the beech forest to the Passo di Ventarola sud where you reach the Alta Via and the view opens onto the sea and the surrounding valleys. You then climb to the Cappelletta Rifugio at 1320 m. The highest point is encountered later marked by a pole indicating the altitude of 1345 m. At a certain point you need to turn completely left and descend to the Passo della Crocetta where, always keeping completely to the left, you rejoin the Quadrivio della Crocetta and then Ventarola.
