Departure: Merlo, San Nazario, Valbrenta Travel time: 4.45 hours Parking in via Mocellini. You start by following the CAI 936 trail, up to the destination of Col Moschin. You return to the Tre Pozzi area that you come across during the climb, and take trail 937 towards Pianari, to then rejoin, via a 936B connection, the outward path. Along the entire excursion you will find signs for the trodoi trails n.19. We recommend the detours towards the Angelo tunnel, reachable via a steep metal ladder and the Colle del Merlo stations with a beautiful view of the Valbrenta below. The view from Col Moschin is also worth it, which ranges from the Lagorai, to the peaks of the Asiago plateau, to the Vette Feltrine, the Grappa and towards the plain. You follow mule tracks, ledges, and paths in the woods. The guide says that there are some exposed sections, but the trail is wide enough, and can be walked along easily For a detailed description I leave the link: https://www.trodoitrails.com/
Pleasant ring excursion on the places of the great war. The departure is in Merlo, San Nazario (car park) from where you follow the signs for the CAI 937, a well-signposted path inside the woods which joins the CAI 936 in the locality Tre pozzi to be followed up to Col Moschin. For the return, follow the CAI 936 path entirely, a comfortable mule track where you can see some observation points in the tunnel. The detours for the galleries and shelters of Colle del Merlo and the Angelo gallery which can be reached via a metal ladder are recommended. The excursion does not present any technical difficulties, only the height difference has to be considered.
