After a walk through Caldaro we looked at the Caldaro parish church Maria Himmelfahrt. The Gothic bell tower is separate from the church and measures 72.5 m. The valuable winged altar is by Hans Klockner. While the exterior of the church presents itself in a neoclassical style, the interior is bright and spacious, predominantly baroque. Then we hiked down the Montiggler Weg/Weinweg through vineyards and apple orchards to Lake Caldaro.
A short hike in the vineyards to Kaltern to the center. Actually, it shouldn't be that hot 🌞🌞 We then earned the beer. 🍹🍻
Since yesterday we liked the town of Kaltern so much when we were cycling through it, we decided today to walk from St. Josef through the vineyards to Kaltern. The beautiful market square invites you to sit down and linger and many beautiful shops to stroll around. You should also definitely take a look at the beautiful parish church of the Assumption of Mary in Kaltern.
