This route was planned by komoot.
The Maypole Festival is coming to an end and there is little sign of the rain that was forecast for the afternoon. So without further ado, a short circular hike to the neighboring town of Andrian. First we go to the Nals Margreid winery, which is of course closed today on the holiday. After the town, we go above the road on a path to the entrance to Andrian. The parish church of Saint Valentine was closed. The South Tyrol Way of St. James also runs above the town, which I follow to the Kofler farm. From the Wetterkreuz you have a wonderful view of the Etschtal. The descent to Nals is again via Schwanburg Castle and the parish church of Saint Ulrich. The tourist information flyer describes the route as an easy hike or jogging route. Probably more suitable for cross-country runners, as the path is often lined with sticks and stones 😉
