This route was planned by komoot.
First up on the Alpe di Siusi with the panorama chairlift. ATTENTION: Driving up to the Alpe di Siusi by car is only possible before 9:00 a.m.! Then over the Rosszähne to the Tierser Alpl and back to the parking lot. Great tour with a great panorama. A stop at the Tierser Alp is recommended. In addition to the mountain panorama, we were also able to observe a number of marmots.
Quite doable in 5 hours - unless a stop at the Almrosenhütte comes in the way 😊. Tip:The Kaiserschmarrn (with applesauce and homemade cranberry jam). Very tasty in a very nice hut.
The magnificent view over the gap makes up for the strenuous climb. You can eat very tasty food in the Tierser Alpl refuge. So you are strengthened for the long descent, which leads through a wonderful mountain world. Everything is very well signposted. You should choose good shoes for the climb, as there is a lot of loose rock and rubble on the paths.
From the Kompatsch park you go up south towards Hotel Panorama. (photo 1 Sciliar/Santner tower, photo 2 Odle, photo 3 Sasso Lungo/Sasso Piatto). Then he heard. 2 up fork. Teeth of Terrarossa. Quite steep climb but always well marked. Descent towards Rif. Tires (almost a hotel) then along path 4 to the Duron pass. Path 7 to Rif. Molignon, very particular for flowering rhododendrons and fauna (marmots, roe deer, cows, donkeys and Aveglino horses). Long asphalt road to Panorama and Kompatsch. The Denti di Terrarossa from the south side are stunning, inconspicuous from the north side. Maybe it's better to go around clockwise. The times on the signs are quite tight.
The way back from Tierser Alpl was unattractive, as there was no hiking trail, but rather a wide cycle path
The hike in beautiful weather led over the Edelweiss and Mahlknechthütte up to the Rosszähnen, where we stopped off at Skiwasser & Radler in the Tierser-Alpl-Hütte. In between, Vespers with sheep cheese from the region between sheep 🐑. We went down over the Rosszahnscharte and Alpe di Siusi back to Kompatsch.
A beautiful hike on the Seiser Alm in South Tyrol with the majestic Dolomites as a mountain backdrop
