Trail Reviews

Ferdy Nando🏔️🧗🚴
December 20, 2025, La Pala d'Altei tutta d'un fiato dalla località Alzetta (Montereale Valcellina).

Today, a quick trip to one of the peaks I know best and have climbed dozens of times. I'm accompanied by my friend Aldo (35 years younger than me), who doesn't know it (it's nice to share this passion with young people). The climb began from Alzetta di Montereale Valcellina. From here to the summit, it's a 1,250-meter vertical climb that offers no respite. It's a great challenge and a beautiful climb, as always. Especially with the accompanying descent on CAI trail 987, which skirts the summit through a dense beech forest. Obviously, the route can be significantly shortened in terms of elevation gain and distance by starting from the astronomical observatory. It's a particularly mild day (unusual for this time of year) with virtually no snow, except for a little on the north face before the summit.
