This route was planned by komoot.
Today we were once again on the road with the Lille-Mobil. The temperature was ok, there was a light breeze. I had planned a tour that should run as close as possible along the Emsauen. A well-known route to Hembergen, which I always find very pretty. Hembergen itself is a village as you would imagine. Church and inn in the center of the village, surrounded by an old village center with lots of charm. 😍 I then enjoyed it during a cyclist break with a corresponding drink. What was new for me afterwards was the piece directly from the Emsbrücke Saerbeck in the direction of Sinnigen. From here we continued on foot, Lille wanted to sniff, she said. 🤣 It goes quietly and peacefully above the Emsterrasse, every now and then you catch a glimpse of the Emsauen. The Ems itself flows towards Emsdetten at some distance without visual contact. At the end of the gravel path, komoot says "Turn right onto single trail". I had planned so. The trail was really very "single" in places and could only be mastered by pushing the bike and trailer. But it's entirely doable. Several trails run very nicely through the wooded area with the Ems dunes. It was worth the little effort of pushing. I drove on to Saerbeck via Middendorf. Here you should drive or push over the small Pädken at the Saerbecker Mühlenbach towards the center of the village. Push because you can enjoy the path better. 🤗 Highly recommended. Then we went on Pastors Allee, a no less beautiful Pädken, in the direction of the bathing lake. Here you come across a bricked-up earth bunker embedded in the hill. The old slab sealing the entrance is decorated with an old weathered inscription. Not even the home club Saerbeck knows more details. https://heimatverein-saerbeck.de/index.php/29-berichte/389-weder-grab-noch-geldtresor I was amazed at how beautiful these two small paths are and how they run right through the village. Very well done 👍 We went back via Hembergen, with a stop at the refreshment station and a delicious fresh salad 🥗, an isotonic cold drink 🍺 0.00 alcohol and an invigorating hot drink ☕️ further via Hembergener Straße and Herberner Mersch. Also very pretty. Then there was the next “single trail” on the railway line along the Temmingmühlenbach. You didn't see much of the stream either, it was completely overgrown. Can be done, does not have to be. But if you don't feel like driving or walking on the main road, this is quite a good alternative. The path ends at a gravel path, which in turn connects to the Ems dike. On the Emsdeich we head in the direction of Greven Rechts der Ems. All in all a nice and varied tour. 🚲🐶👍
Today was perfect weather for the Lille-Mobil. Not too warm, not too windy. So let's go on the Emsradweg in the direction of Emsauen Hembergen, on to Sinningen and back via Saerbeck and Hembergen. The section of the Emsradweg from Hembergen to Sinningen is very nice, but quite dusty now that the weather is dry. 🚲💨. The name "Emsradweg" suggests that you also cycle along the Ems, but that is not the case. Actually it should be called Emsauenradweg. Except in Hembergen and then again just before Emsdetten/Sinningen, you don't see anything of the Ems. Nevertheless, the tour is still very pretty and runs far away from any traffic once you have reached the farm track through the Emsauen behind Hembergen. All in all, a varied tour that comes up with numerous highlights: inland dunes in the Püppkesberge, history at the Sachsenhof, tranquil village idyll in Hembergen with two places to stop for refreshments, a beautiful route from Hembergen to Emsdetten/Sinningen, which also has its charm as a hiking trail. The Emsdetten—>Sinningen section then also runs along the Ems and a short detour down to the banks of the Ems with wonderfully soft sand and a break bench is worthwhile. In the further course, the route passes a great playground and meanders through the Mühlenbach and Emsauen. Unfortunately, the long bridge over the meadows behind the Mühlenbach is currently closed. A diversion is signposted. Along the entire tour there are countless notice and information boards as well as opportunities for a rest. Everything done very nicely. Then we went back on the Dettenweg. On the way you could also have gone down to the Ems here. I chose to stay on the small road. Wasn't that dusty. 😂 A trip to Saerbeck with a delicious sundae 🍨 in Ital. A café rounded off the successful trip to the Emsauen. Lille also had time and opportunity to exercise along the way. She walked a large part of the route on the paths through the Emsauen 🌿🌱 from Hembergen to Emsdetten. 🐶🐾🙋🏻♀️
Today it went from Emsdetten, along the Ems cycle path, via Hembergen to the Sachsenhof in Greven. Then it went on via Reckenfeld back to Emsdetten.
