The challenging "Himmelfahrer" (Sky Rider) tour, with its numerous passes, will challenge your legs, but its rustic forest paths, deep valleys, and views stretching all the way to the Alps make it a very attractive route. Those looking for special moments of rest will find them at the Hochkopf Tower or at one of the small shrines that appear along the route.

The route challenges you with tough climbs, switchbacks, and a steep descent just before the Red Cross, where you can push your bike for safety. Between the passes, farms and inns invite you to refresh yourself and enjoy the view. The tour starts and ends centrally in Todtmoos, easily accessible by bus, train, or car.
