The panoramic tour to the Rossbrand summit is as challenging as it is rewarding. A tough climb, fantastic views, and fun singletrack trails make this a complete mountain bike ride.

From the center of Flachau, you'll start off on flat terrain for the first few kilometers, warming up your calves. A few switchbacks wind your way up through beautiful alpine meadows and soon enjoy magnificent views of the valleys and peaks surrounding you.

After the Reitlehenalm, the most challenging part of the tour begins. The climb to the Rossbrand is steep and direct. The beautiful landscape either compensates for the effort of the climb, or distracts from it.

After relaxing and enjoying the panoramic views at the summit cross, the long descent follows. A stop for refreshments, for example, at the Schörgi Alm, is also possible, before returning to the valley floor and continuing back along the Enns Cycle Path.

The original route up to Rossbrand is a really steep uphill with roots and rocks. Not rideable. We pushed and that wasn't fun either.
Alternatively, you can do the tour the other way round or up the forest road.
