Hiking
On the Panorama Trail, you'll hike along idyllic paths, through shady forests, and along a unique cliff line below the Bürgl on the southern shore of Lake Wolfgang. The tour follows easy trails and is also suitable for families with young children.
The hike starts in the quiet town center of Strobl, a popular holiday resort. You'll take a leisurely stroll along the lake's shore. Everything here seems relaxed: a few old villas, a long promenade, boats moored at the dock, and cafés overlooking the water. Leaving the village via the Ischl River, you'll find yourself at the foot of the Bürgl, a wooded hill. Far away from everyday life, you'll hike along beautiful paths through lush greenery, following the babbling Tiefenbach stream.
Through the branches of the trees, you'll see the water of the lake shimmering in the distance. You'll soon reach the lakeside of the Bürgl. You'll follow the steeply sloping shoreline on planks and over bridges. Here you'll enjoy particularly beautiful views of the turquoise-blue Wolfgangsee – the highlight of the tour.
Back in Strobl, you'll find several inns and cafés, perfect for a relaxing stop by the lake. The town is easily accessible by train or car. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, plenty of water, and, if the weather is nice, a swimsuit – a dip in the lake is hard to resist.

The internet said "suitable for prams", but there were a few sections that are difficult to walk with a pram. In no case completely wheelchair accessible, only the beginning and the end are wheelchair accessible. But very nice view.
Very nice circular route. If you want, you can just do the part by the lake. There are several opportunities to swim. There is also the option to jump into the water. Not suitable for cyclists. Cycling is "strictly prohibited and will result in prosecution". However, you can attach your bikes to a fence at the start of the path.
A super beautiful and lovingly designed panoramic circular trail. Here you can simply relax and take a break on one of the many benches or, like us, on the water lily banks on Lake Wolfgang 😍
We have been to Lake Wolfgangsee many times but never to Strobl. This morning we took advantage of the short period of good weather and hiked the Bürglsteig around the Bürglstein. A very beautiful path, one third along the water and one third through a rustic forest, only the part along the road is of course not so beautiful but the rest makes up for that😁
😄Yes true, but you also picked out a lot of nice spots in our Landl ... Funny that Komoot sometimes only shows the posts days later if you are not following someone 🤔 only when you go to MADE I see them ... Bürglsteig is also such a aaaaa 🙋🏼♂️ place
Today just a short hike in the morning (bad weather is forecast and seems to be arriving) around the Bürglstein on Lake Wolfgangsee with repeated beautiful views of the lake, then later relaxed on a shady path through the forest and finally along the Ischl (actually Ischler Ache) back to Strobl.
About halfway there is a large playground next to the football field. If you're lucky, the toilet in the sports center is open and you can use it.
