Starting from Rothenthurm, you'll hike along well-maintained trails through floodplain forests, past wet meadows, and along expansive farmland. A particularly nice feature: Along the way, you'll find five information stations that vividly explain the flora and fauna, as well as the importance of flood protection. Ideal if you're traveling with children or simply enjoy a closer look.
The public barbecue area by the Mur River is a great place to take a break. Whether you bring your own food or simply enjoy the view, you're welcome to linger here for a while before slowly walking back.
