Hiking
A hike to the Lovrenc Lakes (Lovrenška jezera), known as the "Lovrenški Pearls," is an experience for the whole family. The 20 bog lakes shine like unfathomable, blue-black shimmering eyes amidst the green vegetation of mountain pines and cotton grass. Welcome to Slovenia's largest raised bog: You'll hike across flowering meadows, through fragrant forests, and along wooden walkways into the heart of the bog.
Your tour starts at the Rogla winter sports area on the Pohorje plateau at an altitude of almost 1,500 meters. Plenty of parking is available. Passing a reservoir for the snowmaking equipment, the trail initially heads northwest across meadows. After one kilometer, you'll get a small taste of the fascinating bog world. The route then runs through the coniferous forest. After just under five kilometers, you'll reach the famous bog lakes. A wooden boardwalk takes you comfortably through the mountain pine thicket. From the small tower near the lakes, you can get a good overview. There are also several information panels about the flora and fauna. In summer, you might spot white loons on the water or—with a bit of luck—an endangered capercaillie. There are several benches along the shore. A dream spot for a leisurely picnic.
The trail now descends past Lake Jecerk and slowly climbs again. A refreshment in a cozy atmosphere awaits you at the Pesek mountain hut. Before you return to the parking lot, you can enjoy the magnificent view from the Rogla observation tower and visit the interesting church.

Half of the tour had wet roots, loose stones and large puddles on the way... So not that easy to walk!
