First we went through the Kaiserklamm, a very impressive gorge. Cut deeply, the crystal-clear water runs through here and has "formed" a lot of great formations in the rock I was already in the Wolfsklamm this week - according to their advertising, the most beautiful in Tyrol.. In my opinion, the Kaiserklamm is more worth seeing 😍. There is hardly any ascent and you almost only go on secured (with terrain) paths on/in the rock. So it's also doable with children. Then we walked along the Ache and later through the "Butterfly Valley". There are said to be over 800 different species of butterflies here. I managed to discover 10 different ones 😅. However, not everyone managed to take a photo.
Actually, the tour should be called "In the footsteps of Emperor Franz Josef and his Sissi", who spent the night in the imperial house several times. But what happened to us on the way through the gorge and on the way back via the Brandner Alm in terms of insects, we had never experienced before. Without exaggerating, we were sometimes attacked by more than 10 brakes 😲 at the same time, so that at some point we just wanted to go back. The gorge itself is highly recommended. You should be sure-footed and it could also get wet on your feet. After a few 100m you come to a shallow part of the Ache. We took a short break there and cooled our feet. A great place that you should definitely plan for. In the end we decided on a steep, alpine descent to get to the car as quickly as possible. We had given enough blood 😬. Despite the terror but a nice round 👍🏻.
