Kaiserklamm-Runde – Wandern im Alpbachtal

Whoever says Alpbachtal also says gorge hike! Because there are several impressive gorges in the region. Today you have to hike the Kaiserklamm. A tour that is especially popular on very hot days because of its cooling rocks and pinches.

You start the tour a few hundred meters below the Kaiserhaus inn. Over a length of about one kilometer you walk over the Triftsteig through the historic Kaiserklamm. On the way you will observe the power of the water and immerse yourself in the history of the Brandenberger Holztrift. Bridges and stone tunnels nestle impressively into the striking rock walls. All in all, a spectacle that of course does not leave even smaller hikers unimpressed - please never let them out of your sight!

At the end of the gorge, a forest path leads you comfortably back to the starting point. Alternatively, you can march back through the gorge. Either way, it is worth stopping at the Kaiserhaus at the end of the day. Because there are delicacies that Emperor Franz and his Sissi enjoyed during their lifetime. The kids can let off steam to their heart's content on the neighboring adventure playground with a low rope course.
