Mountain biking
The Sun Trail combines alpine exhilaration with fast-paced trails, which are also feasible for bikers without much experience. The first 500 meters in altitude up to Hochbrixen are done by mountain railway. This saves you the arduous ascent over the Sonnberg.
The trail fun begins in Hochbrixen at the mountain station: The first descent to Berggasthof Nieding awaits you here. In between you can take a short break with the best view. Strengthened, you are ready for a two-kilometer ascent with around 200 meters of altitude. You roll a short distance on asphalt and then later you turn into the Gsengweg, which leads you on gravel through the forest and over open areas, from which you always have a fantastic view of the entire Brixental. If it gets too much, just push and save the strength for the following trail. It will be worth it: The Sun Trail is a flow trail as it stands in the book and will put a big grin on your face.
Back in Brixen there are many options. How about a relaxing trip to the large leisure complex with an adventure pool and bathing lake? Or a few laps at the skill park at the valley station of the SkiWelt mountain railway with a new pump track. Or you can simply take the lift up again - you can't get enough of biking here anyway.

Part 2 of day 6: back in Brixen im Thale we decided to drive up to the Filzalmsee or the Brantlalm. We then decided for the Brantlalm to drive from there to the start of the Suntrails. It was all good to drive. The Suntrail is easy on the difficulty side and quite fun and was a successful end to the MTB day. 😊 Another tip: In Brixen Thale, the batteries for e-bikes must be removed while riding in the gondolas, otherwise the bikes would be too heavy for the holder.
