Hiking
This circular hike near Buchboden takes you to special water features in the Großes Walsertal Biosphere Reserve. Starting from the beautiful Church of the Birth of Mary, you follow a farm track down to the turquoise Lutz River. After crossing it on a bridge, you reach the Kessi Gorge natural monument: The water rushes down over rocks in several stages, forming round erosion potholes in the rock over millennia.
From here, a footpath leads you into the idyllic Gadental Valley to the Bad Rothenbrunnen Alpine Inn and the famous iron spring. After a break, you pass the water intake of the power plant and a tuff spring and return to the banks of the Lutz. You walk along the river until you reach the sulfur spring, where you can enjoy Kneipp therapy. A short climb takes you back to the starting point.

Bad Rothenbrunnen to the Scheffelquelle a leisurely walk with a small section requiring surefootedness, otherwise it was wonderful🌝 returning via the road because the hunters 🐾 had stopped shooting and the forest hiking trail⭕️ was closed
