The Gampenkogel is a difficult climb: a continuous ascent on a small path. At the top of the summit cross we were "honored" with a flock of insects. The descent (another route) is just as difficult. The Brechhhorn opposite is higher, more pleasant and offers more variety. The Brechhhornhaus and the Kreuzjöchelsee are the reward for both tours.
