Hiking
This challenging circular hike takes you from Arosa deep into the secluded Welschtobel valley. You'll hike along the stream into the valley, where, with a bit of luck, you might spot deer or chamois. The Ramozhütte, which is not staffed, is spectacularly located below the Erzhornsattel and is a great place to take a break with a view.
From there, you continue up a steep, exposed path. At the Erzhornsattel – the highest point of the tour – the view opens up to Arosa and the Schanfigg. The subsequent descent is technically challenging and requires surefootedness, but it's worth it: At the Älplisee, you can dip your feet in the water and rest among grazing sheep.
To round off the hike, you'll follow the path through alpine pastures back towards Arosa. Passing the crystal-clear Schwellisee, you'll reach the starting point at the Untersee. This tour isn't something you'd do casually and is perfect if you're looking for alpine solitude and challenging mountain landscapes.
