This route was planned by komoot.
There are 9 hiking routes in Tivedens National Park. The one we hiked is the "Trehörningsrundan" and is around 10 km long. We were on the trail for a good 4.5 hours. As we landed right back at the camper, a cloudburst of the finest kind came down. You have to be lucky. Tivedens National Park is highly recommended. Only hike the tour mentioned with sturdy shoes and absolute surefootedness, as it goes over rocks, stones and roots, which are sometimes very slippery when wet. Rating: Recommended
Tiveden National Park offers fascinating nature experiences and a distinct wilderness feel amidst the cultural landscapes of the great lakes Vänern and Vättern. Here, in one of Sweden's wildest forests, hike among chaotic boulders up to 10 meters high, brought here by the Ice Age. There are also many exciting caves and beautiful wilderness lakes. A wild experience! Sturdy shoes and hiking poles are recommended 🙃🙌😉
Absolutely fantastic tour with incredible lake views and beautiful trails
We arrived in Tiveden yesterday. The weather forecast was good, so today we decided to hike the "purple loop" around the lake in Tiveden National Park (NP). The starting point was the main entrance to the NP (we were lucky and found a parking space). In the last third we were surprised by a short rain shower, but we were prepared and had rain gear with us. It was a beautiful tour in a great landscape.
Not an easy hike. You'll need sturdy footwear.
A beautiful hike. But you need to be in good shape. It's very steep up and down, and you sometimes have to step over roots and rocks and climb. And take your time, enjoy the view and the forests. 🙋♂️🚴♂️
