Rundweg Bergwasser

On the Bergwasser circular trail, you'll experience Rosswald's relaxed, nature-loving side. Rosswald itself is a car-free, sunny resort high above Brig. After your hike, you can relax on the sun terrace or by the small swimming lake. The best way to get there is by cable car. Parking is available at the valley station and at the top of Rosswald.

Start your hike right at the mountain station and follow the blue signs toward the parking lot before hiking along a wide forest road. When the small hamlet of Stafel comes into view, you've completed half the route. You'll hike back to the starting point via the Bärgwasser-Suone, a water channel that trickles through the shady mountain forest. Along the water, you'll repeatedly enjoy magnificent views down to the striking Ganter Bridge and across the valley – a beautiful interplay of pristine nature and modern infrastructure. The trails are mostly pleasant to walk on, but you'll need to be sure-footed, especially for the section along the water.
