The Nidda Regional Park Route is a unique river experience full of contrasts. From Bad Vilbel, you cycle along a flat path, always along the Nidda River, all the way to Frankfurt-Höchst. This leisurely ride allows you to enjoy the renaturalized river landscape as well as the view of the Main metropolis's skyline. From the end of the route in Frankfurt Höchst, you can return by train via the S-Bahn (suburban train) via Frankfurt Taunusanlage.
And if that's not enough for you, you can continue on the Main Cycle Path to the Mainspitze near Wiesbaden (return by S-Bahn via Frankfurt Taunusanlage) and then continue along the quaint towpath up the Rhine to the idyllic wine-growing towns of the Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site, such as Eltville or Rüdesheim. You can return at any time by regional train via Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof.
From the central artery of the Nidda Route, Bad Vilbel offers a variety of linking options and combinations for a customized tour: https://viltour.de/

In 3 days we completed the green belt cycle path. For Luis, 7 years old, the first multi-day tour. We gave up camping due to the weather. Also, there are no campsites. The stamp steles were immensely motivating, for which there is a pass. In addition, we often switched to the green belt hiking trail, which is also good for cycling to a large extent. There is a connection to local transport everywhere, so that planning was not a problem.
