A diverse landscape and fantastic views await you on this circular tour. You can enjoy extraordinary sound experiences at a total of nine stations along the trail. The trail begins in the village of Hammelbach, where you can take a short detour to the ruins of the Gothic chapels.
Just beyond the last houses, you'll reach the Weschnitz spring. The spring was first mentioned in 795 and gives the Weschnitz Valley its name. You'll follow the trail through shady forests and across open meadows. The various sound stations along the route invite you to listen and relax. Here, the wind plays the harp for you or plucks the wind lyre. With the wood-species xylophone or the Überwald bell, you can get involved and discover your musical talent.

Today we hiked the sound tour in the Odenwald in bright sunshine. The tour actually starts in Hammelbach, but a little refreshment never hurts, so we set off from the Alt Lechtern forest restaurant. And we followed our ears. Attention‼️the restaurant can be reached via a small road in Fürth. There were 9 stations with different sound experiences along meadows and forest paths..... The 7km long tour has gentle climbs and is easy to walk on the paths. Varied with beautiful views of the Odenwald
Today I was on the sound hiking trail in Hammelbach again. This is a beautiful round at any time of year. Here is the link to my winter tour https://www.komoot.de/tour/304370023?ref=aso. I actually wanted to walk over the Wagenberg. This was thoroughly spoiled for me by two boys aged around 10 to 12 who used their motorbikes on the path for testing and training purposes. I just didn't feel like walking in the swirling dust and the smell of gasoline. The two were driving without license plates (of course, they are too young) and without visible companions in an area that is expressly closed to motor vehicles. Traffic rules only apply to others.
Hello everyone, Last weekend (mid-September) I was on the Hammelbach sound hiking trail. A small and quite nice path with lots of things to see. In keeping with the name, there are of course some stations on the subject of sound such as a buzzing stone, a wood xylophone or a wind harp (and a few more). At some of the stations you can become active yourself, at others you can listen to the sounds. Very nicely implemented. But the path away from the stations is also very beautiful. The path takes you along largely wide paths past beautiful views, the Weschnitzquelle or the Hammelbach chapel ruins. There is also a place to stop for refreshments (Waldgaststätte Alt-Lechtern). In terms of demands, the path is rather easy; there is only a significant incline after the forest restaurant (depending, of course, on which direction you are walking along the path.) Have fun hiking everyone :) Tobias
Weschnitz spring, Kneipp pools, beautiful chimes integrated into the landscape (a must-hear experience), lush meadows, narrow forest paths, a magnificent mossy rock landscape (can't really be captured in photos), panoramic views, light and shadow in the forest, rest areas, woodcarvers in the village, a church...
We've been in the Odenwald since yesterday 🌲 Today's circular hike is something very special and has completely captivated us. "Discovering silence and experiencing sounds at the same time...isn't that a contradiction?" ...no, definitely not, the different sounds of the sound stations help you pause and calm down. The trail markings are excellent and marked with (H10 or the blue ear on a white background). This beautiful hike takes us mostly through sparse mixed forest and across open landscapes. The various sound stations completely fascinated me. A magical trail that I highly recommend.

Absolutely idyllic! Beautiful, varied nature, fields, meadows, forest. Along the way, there are a variety of chimes to listen to and enjoy, which blend in perfectly with nature, and some invite you to become active yourself. In Hammelbach there are a few nice rest stops. Really great tour!
Hello, today I was on my way to the Weschnitz spring. I started from the Hammelbach hiking car park. When I arrived at the Weschnitz spring, I didn't go to the spring because a school class was there. The teacher told me that they hike from the source of the Weschnitz spring to the mouth of the Rhine. I wished them the best of luck and set off. The Weschnitz spring path is a small part of the Hammelbacher Klangweg. First you walk uphill and downhill in the sun, but then you go into the forest. Very nice hiking trails that go through the forest. Then you eventually come to a very nice inn with a beer garden, it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and possibly also on Wednesdays. Then you go uphill about 300 meters into the forest until you reach the top. Then it is not that far to Hammelbach and after about 20 to 30 minutes you arrive at the hiking car park. You can walk the Camino from Hammelbach. Up to
