Hiking
Water, forest and wild views await you on the three-lake hike in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. Since the circular route can be covered without much effort, it is also popular with children.
The tour starts at the sports field in Biberwier. After a while through the town and then through beautiful nature, you will soon reach the first of the three lakes: the Weissensee. Nestled between the imposing mountain peaks and surrounded by a magical forest, it makes a first nice place to linger. But you still have a good deal in front of you and now things are going uphill for now.
The next stop is called Blindsee. You have to cross Fernpassstrasse in between, which - together with the Zugspitzblick that follows shortly after - requires your full concentration. You continue on a paved path and suddenly it opens up in front of you - the mirror-smooth Blindsee. Find a spot here to relax or cool off for a while.
Then one is still missing. And you can only get there a short, slight up and down later. The Mittersee does not get too warm, but it offers a nice opportunity to refresh yourself in summer - before you walk back to Biberwier via relatively flat paths and past the Loisach sources.

This route was planned by komoot.
The Weissensee was very beautiful right from the start. However, we didn't like the route that followed along a power line. The Zugspitzblick rest stop on the Fernpass road was a positive surprise. The service was great and the view down to the Blindsee was fantastic.
I thought I had chosen a relatively easy tour today, but that was not the case. Luckily I had my poles with me again, they saved me a few times. It took me quite a while to get down, but luckily I arrived safely. The views were sensational again 😍😃
The tour offers a scenically impressive backdrop, which holds numerous photo opportunities. It is therefore advisable to plan extra time for photographic shots during the tour. The difficulty level is low,
first from Biberwier to the Loisachquelle👣 and on to Mittersee💦.. to Blindsee.. lunch break in the town hall "Zugspitzblick"🥘.. then to the last lake, the Weißensee💦.. there were hiking stamps everywhere😉.. lakes are fantastically beautiful 😍.. back by bus 🚌
A beautiful tour over the Loisach springs, Mittersee, Blindsee, from the Zugspitzblick, high over the Roman route to the Weißensee.
After a marathon of work and celebrations🥳, I was just looking for some peace and quiet. Mountains🏔️and lakes are always good. Add some snow❄️ and I almost forgot🙈I wanted sun🌞 too🤔 So we went to Biberwier for the 3 lakes tour. Weißensee, Blindsee and Mittersee. It was simply a dream🤩 We trudged from lake to lake over snowy paths, some of which were already covered in deep snow, and enjoyed the wintery❄️silence. We were accompanied by the sun🌞 and fantastic views🤩🏔️ In Lermoos we found an open restaurant and had a great meal😋 Since we're already there, we could still stop by the Highline 179 in the dark. We took a moment to reflect, but only briefly, and then continued on to Reutte. The whole village of Klause, the castle 🏰 and the suspension bridge shine in the glow of lights✨✨✨ It's also LUMAGICA...light tells a story🤩✨🤩 Walking over the bridge in the dark is a great feeling and was crowned with a spectacular, glittering view and a fantastic sunset 🌅👑 A great Sunday that made you forget your currently somewhat stressful everyday life😍😍😍
Our tour started at the free Weißensee car park, right along the lake of the same name. In the blazing midday sun, we struggled up the first hills on stony roads. After a few kilometers, the route turned into beautiful forest paths and the shade of the trees was more than pleasant. We had a constant view of the Zugspitze and the neighboring mountains, and we ate our lunch on a wooden bench with an additional view of the Blindsee. After about 3/5 of the way, we refreshed ourselves by swimming in the Blindsee and then walked along its shore before continuing through the forest to the Mittensee. Unfortunately, there were a few deaths on the way there and at the Mittensee. I estimate that we hit around 10 horseflies 😉. But they didn't deter us and we continued walking to the Loisbach springs.
