First day of vacation... with great people 😇 The weather is a bit mixed today. Stay tuned for the next few days ✌️
The bike path today due to mowing work with traffic regulation
Cool tour in summer, it is advisable to set off early. After midday it can be strenuous with high temperatures. LG @
...cycling through endless apple orchards on great cycle paths. We were treated to a distant view of the Three Peaks. In the scorching heat 🔥 even jumping into Lake Kaltern didn't really cool us down... At the end of the path, a mini-Stelvio was waiting for us with only 7 instead of 48 bends 😊
Again and again rain from St.Pauls. Nevertheless pleasantly warm.
The old country road is closed, so we drive through the Gratsch district, wonderfully quiet, to Meran. In San Michele, there were fresh sandwiches and a mini cake at the Easter festival, with almost summery temperatures. We saw countless small groups today, everyone is rolling in.
That was the warmest tour I've ever ridden. Average 40°C, minimum 32°, maximum 47°C. Actually, I can't believe it. But if I interpret the reaction of my body, it will probably be like that. In the afternoon I was pretty exhausted. From Lana I had to mobilize the last reserves. In the industrial area of Merano there are e.g. Z. several construction sites with one-way street. The diversion signs for bicycle traffic were forgotten to be posted, and in no time you are back on a main road or in a dead end. Fortunately, I always find my goal again. The Garmin sends me on long detours. Drinking water was the most important thing today. The Garmin says 6 liters, in the evening I almost caught up. I was just in time at the hotel for dinner. Relaxation begins after dinner, and comes quickly after dessert and a final beer in the garden. I'm sure I'll sleep well today.
As always, a great round. S.Michele and St.Pauls just always beautiful. 34°C 🥵 We deserve the lap in the pool 🏊♂️.
