A great classic of mountain biking in the Ledro Valley: the Tremalzo Big Tour is a concentration of spectacular views, legendary climbs and adrenaline-filled descents. The route initially follows the valley's cycle path, then climbs towards Passo Tremalzo along a long asphalt climb, constant but never extreme.
Once at the top, the fun begins: the descent winds along the historic military road of the First World War, between hairpin bends carved into the rock and spectacular views of Lake Garda. The return journey crosses Passo Nota and ends along the shores of Lake Ledro, where you can take a break or a regenerating dip.
The Tour is ideal for those with a good level of training and experience and looking for a varied, panoramic and thrilling route. It can be ridden from April to October.
The starting point is in Pieve di Ledro, with parking near the tourist office. If you arrive by public transport, the Ledro Valley is connected to Riva del Garda by the extra-urban bus line 214.

Tremalzo wasn't actually on the list, but because the sky was bright blue this morning and we basically spent the night there, we decided to head up there. The weather was perfect and there was very little activity on the trails. As a reward, we had the "Trentino Burger" with Franco and Adriana at Lake Ledro. Tomorrow we'll go a little further to Passo Tonale "Rainy day is travel day 😉

This MTB tour is a must for all MTB fans here on Lake Ledro. The ascent as a biobiker is more humane via Pieve, as gravel roads only begin at the end, the last km. The descent then has a lot of gravel road and very loose gravel on the other side of the pass. You're better off with an MTB with wider tires than my Elite_Race with "only 2.20" 👍🏽😄 Highly recommend this tour, just like the “Ponale” up to Lake Ledro
