I have to climb 901 steps on impressive wooden stairs and platform structures right through the wild gorge landscape of the Korkeakoski. Don't believe it? Then go ahead and count them! The Korkeakoski Rapids in Maaninka are considered the highest rapids in Finland. It's often debated whether Korkeakoski is a waterfall or a rapid. It probably doesn't matter, as everyone considers the rapids to be unusually beautiful and high – a unique sight, a jewel of the water and forest landscape of Northern Savonia. Want more?
