Trail Reviews
Round trip Sikkavaoja, a small river nearby. The river is now mostly frozen and covered with a layer of snow, but here and there you can see and hear it flowing under the ice. We passed a shelter where an old man had made a fire on which he was preparing something. The man would spend 2 nights there in a hut in the middle of nowhere! Suddenly we heard a loud rumble and 8 or 9 reindeer came running past very fast! Super beautiful! We only started the walk at 15.45, that's why almost all the photos are blue.
We came across a shelter with a fire pit, a wood shed where you can chop wood yourself and there is a compostable toilet. We also came across many sleeping places for reindeer, see photo 3. And...saw a number of reindeer again😊
