This route was planned by komoot.
Because the weather was now clear we could go up from approx 1000 to approx 2000 meters, with the Bergwelt–Hahnenkamm cable car from Höfen (Reutte). A number of paths appear to be closed due to construction work. And also because of the heat (and the UV) we adjust our planned tour anyway: that saves 600 meters of climbing and descending. Anyway: photos of views in the mountains usually do not do justice to what the eye sees. A nice present at the end is the construction of an extra avalanche protection. One by one, the helicopter lifts the structures.
Quite a steep ascent to the peak of the Hahnenkamm from the Lechaschauer Alm over a ridge that inspires respect. But great views. Recommended in good weather (if you are fit and sure-footed!).
