Blue water, panoramic views, and, with the exception of one climb, flat cycling paths await you on this beautiful tour around Lake Murten. Murten, the small town with its idyllic arcades and impressive old town, is both the starting point and destination of this tour.

In addition to Murten, which you should plan plenty of time to explore at the end of the tour, there are several scenic and cooling highlights along the route. For example, before you start the climb to the viewpoint on Mont Vully, you can take a swim at Salavaux beach – or afterward at Sugiez.

Although you'll always be cycling close to the lake, there are also sections that take you along shady forest paths. Finally, in Murten, you should definitely climb the historic city wall and enjoy the view over the houses to the lake.

Around Lake Murten: lots of nature, but also the smell of pesticides from fields and vineyards.
Good test for our ebikes: on Mont Vully it's a steep climb. Fantastic view over lakes and mountains
