It is a really beautiful and easy route to ride. The old Gredl railway ran from Roth to Greding and was inaugurated in 1888. All traffic was stopped up to Hilpoltstein in 1998. Up to Thalmässing in 1974.
Since 2006, the completed Gredl cycle path has been open on the former route from Hilpoltstein to Thalmässing through a wonderful landscape.
