We continued from the Melkhus in Fintel on the small hiking circuit NordPfad Haxloher Erde. We have discovered another gem for ourselves! V. a. the first half leads very idyllically through the green meadows, fields and forests of the Finta lowlands. It's probably especially nice in spring! At the end stop at the Melkhus with delicious coffee, cake and the "Mother's Day Dream" - a raspberry sour milk cream. In the future, the Melkhus will probably be our replacement for the Lütjen Isdeel in Fintel, which unfortunately closed last autumn. How we cycled back home can be found in part 1 of the mother's day triathlon
Those looking for major highlights will unfortunately find them in vain on the NORTH PATH "Haxloher Erde." There are also no single trails or enchanted forest paths here. Instead, you'll be repeatedly entertained by expansive views over meadows and fields. Regardless, the "Haxloher Erde" circular trail is unfortunately one of the weaker tours in the NORTH PATH portfolio. But I still had fun today. And if you look closely, you can still find one or two special features along the way. You just have to look a bit 😉. All information about the NORTH PATH can be found at the following link: https://www.nordwaerts.de/aktiv-entspannt/tour/nordpfad-haxloher-erde-100258949/ (as of March 24, 2025).
I had barely returned from my vacation (hiking and walking paths) when the volunteer work (hiking and walking paths) called. I looked at the northern path in front of my house again: some of the markings had fallen off the tree: the tree eats the nail, the nail head is pulled through the marking plate and it falls off. So they need to be replaced. In addition, this year the trees are growing very lushly and greenly thanks to the rain and warmth. Markings had to be cut free and thus made visible again. I also always collect rubbish. The northern paths are mostly hiked by "good" people - there is hardly any rubbish.
Luckily, we still managed to do a short walk this weekend, the short Haxloher Erde North Trail. I think it was a typical northern trail, uneventful northern flatlands with few photographic highlights :-) But that's how we like it. We encountered a deer and a cyclist... that was it, wonderfully quiet. I wish everyone a good start to the new week.
North path Haxloher Erde walked with guest dog Kaja and on the way a bit overgrown information signs cut free. I also picked up the rubbish lying around. It wasn't much, see the little plastic bag in the last picture. Garbage was mainly on the part of the route that is also used by cars.
One of the easy northern paths along fields and meadows; without any special highlights. However, the Wiesenblick rest area should be overtaken.
Fields, meadows and avenues! A quiet patch of earth, a landscape to slow down. We were out and about on the NORDPFAD Haxloher Erde.
