Hiking
From the Loassattel, the gently ascending Druckbichlsteig takes you through the sunny flank of the Kuhmesser up into the Gartalm basin. From here, the path becomes steeper: over flower-rich alpine pastures, dotted with bright alpine roses, it goes up to the Kellerjochhütte. The hut invites you to take a well-deserved break with its sun terrace and a hearty stop.
If you want to climb the summit, you can continue hiking from the Kellerjochhütte to the small chapel at the highest point of the Kellerjoch (2,344 meters). But be careful: the narrow path there is demanding and requires surefootedness and a head for heights.
For the way back, the path goes down from the Kellerjochhütte in numerous serpentines to the fork in the path at the Naunzstand. Here you keep left and follow the Hochebenweg steadily downhill back to the Loassattel. Once there, the famous “Loas Schnitzel” awaits you at the Alpengasthof Loas – a fitting end to the tour.
