Hiking
This hike begins at Seefeld station and, after a stroll through the streets, it’s worth visiting the late Gothic church of St. Oswald before climbing up to the Pfarrhügel (Parish Hill) via the Kreuzweg (Way of the Cross). Here you’ll enjoy a sweeping vista over Seefeld’s rooftops and discover a beguiling stone circle, steeped in mystery and history.
You’ll descend to Wildsee where you can watch squirrels from a bench by the shore or simply take in the views. Here, the Reither Moor Natural Reserve’s KlimaTop educational trail provides insights into the region’s nature and climate. The route continues past the forest swimming pool before heading back towards Seefeld after visiting a Kneipp facility. Before you rejoin the bustle of village life, the baroque Chapel Seekirchl awaits.
This varied loop has been officially awarded the Austrian hiking seal of approval and will undoubtedly whet your appetite for more hikes to come.
