In beautiful cycling weather (not too hot, not too cold, no rain), I took the tour recommended by the Aachen City Region to the Pottery Museum in Raeren today: https://www.komoot.de/tour/2053210252 Along the Vennbahn from Aachen to Raeren. There, I visited the Pottery Museum in Raeren Castle: highly recommended! For a €5 entrance fee, you can learn in detail how clay is mined, processed, and fired to produce a variety of ceramic objects. Then I returned via Hauset, Hergenrath, and Preuswald.
Today, in fantastic weather—not too warm and not too cold—I took a lovely tour through the border triangle. Somehow, after just 10 km, the handlebars led me directly to the wonderful Café Nussstöck, where, as always, I was warmly welcomed by Simone and Daniel. The tour continued through the woods and across the fields through Eynatten and Raeren. There, the second stop at the old train station was also very nice, and then we returned along the Vennbahnweg. Fantastically beautiful and relaxing!
