This tour can be divided into 2 sections. The part facing away from the Neckar has lost its charm, as you can hear a busy street and a lot of walking through residential areas.
Today we wanted to hike the entire Kapellenberg circuit, which only opened on September 5th, 2021. The Kapellenberg, which is located on a narrow loop of the Neckar, is one of the steepest vineyards in the “Ländle”. The adventure trail leads over tiers and narrow, unpaved paths through the middle of the vineyard terraces on the steep slope with magnificent views. The tiers down to the wine bar were closed from above due to falling rocks. We then continued straight ahead and came to the Neckar cycle path.
