This tour is all about the Bussen. This prominent mountain spur is known as the holy mountain of Upper Swabia and is considered one of the most beautiful spots in the region. You can see for yourself on the "Tour de Alb – Bussenblick" (Tour of the Alb – Bussen View).
The starting point of the circular tour is the Munderkingen train station. From the Danube, the route leads you through small villages and the rolling hills of Upper Swabia until you catch your first glimpse of the Bussen and its pilgrimage church in the distance.
During the steep climb (3.4 kilometers, 208 meters of elevation gain, 6.1% gradient), you'll already be thinking about the stunning view that awaits you at the top.
