Starting from the Moedermeule you walk through a landscape of forests, orchards and fields along the E314 to the Kloesebos and from there on to the Eikelberg, one of the typical Diestian hills of the Hageland. At the top you can enjoy a panoramic view of Gelrode, which is sandwiched between two ridges, protecting it from the north wind. If you walk via hiking nodes, follow the following nodes: 7 - 72 - 72 - 76 - 701 - 702 - 708 - 704 - 79 - 73 - 705 - 7 For picnickers I would like to inform you that there are a number of picnic benches, 1 of which is on the Eikelberg with a beautiful view. Today it was cloudy with occasional sun and a temperature of 9°C. Conclusion: a very nice walk with beautiful views. The effort.
Without a messenger we started our walk ♀️ 🚶 at the Moedermeule in Gelrode 🥺 That was a nice recognition because in the past we once had a culinary 😋 treat there. We climbed the Eikelberg all the way to the top 🔝 There we got a beautiful panorama 🤩 over Gelrode and that's really no joke 🙂 Via the Kloesbos we stopped at 's Hertogenheide and then our Akina 🐕 was allowed to lead 😉 A little later Dirk went sitting on a high bench and the wooffer thought I'd take a nap in the meantime 😴 We also arrived at a comfort spot through orchards. That's where deceased dogs 🐶 got a permanent place. In the blossom bar we lubricated our throats. During this trip through the hageland we saw a lot of blossoms. 😊
