A large, empty parking lot greets me with a sign reading "Kalkalpen National Park." I take a quick look at the dimly lit information center, and then I'm off. I follow a crystal-clear, roaring stream, which accompanies me further into the forest. The path leads me through impressively old beech forests, glowing in fresh spring green.
