If you walk the loop like we did, then the ascent is along the creek on a deer trail. Lots of opportunities to refresh yourself in the creek. But you should be very sure-footed for this part. Unfortunately, there is nothing at the turning point. The way back on a gravel path is more relaxing.

Not for beginners. A tour for 10-30 year olds. Be sure to pack non-slip hiking boots.

Incredibly beautiful nature, but no progress. I've never needed 2 hours for a 4 km route.

Back on the Hahlenweg, it was a simple forest path, felt like a motorway to me.

Delicious cake in the Monbachtal Cafe, everything was fine again.
