This route was planned by komoot.
Nice tour in the northern Black Forest near Calw. Varied paths, good surefootedness required. We are part of the Xander blade, with a dog 🐕 not recommended, is rather demanding 😥.
In summer temperatures, the “Zeitrunde Holzbronn” (https://www.naturpark-augenblicke.de/augenblicke/calw.html) followed by a stop at the rustic Krabba-Nescht (https://www.krabba-nescht.de/).
Further information: https://www.naturpark-augenblicke.de/augenblicke/calw.html - The route through the Xanderklinge is not part of the AugenBlick round.
Start and finish at the Bildhaus hiking car park near Holzbronn. There are both wide and narrow paths. Today slippery and softened in some places, you noticed that it rained a lot yesterday. After about 2km from the start you go down a narrow path where climbing over ladders is also offered. Once at the bottom, the B 463 has to be crossed. Unfortunately there is no underpass here. Since parts of the route are not far from the road, traffic noise accompanies them. After Waldeck Castle, it goes to the Talmühle and over the Xanderklinge back to Holzbronn. The moment round leads only a little bit into the gorge and then next to the gorge up to the end of the gorge. If you want to hike through the gorge, you have to do this on your own. I was a little disappointed here. Shortly before you reach your destination, you can still enjoy the view and linger in the moment.
Today, shortly before the end of the tour, we were surprised by a thunderstorm in the Xander Klinge. When we were out it even started to hail. It got so bad that we had to stand in a parking lot under a tree. Kindly saw someone who drove us back to Holzbronn in a van in the hail.
In glorious weather, we head to Holzbronn, near the village hall. Along the fields through the forest to the large rocks. Over the rockfall to the Waldecker Hof and further to the castle ruins. Descend to the Seitzental valley, past the Talmühle (inn) to the Xanderklinge. Surefootedness is essential in the gorge, as is strength for the exit. Then continue back to Holzbronn via the Krabba Nescht to the parking lot.
Always beautiful. Especially with the obligatory stop at Krabbanescht
Once again a glass day through this tour with a grand finale. Start at the Dorfsaal car park, Gültlingerstr. 13. Out of the village you will be accompanied by the yellow diamond that shows the way to the end. For the conclusion in the Krabba Nescht you need a reservation, if there are several.
