Wishing everyone a nice 4th Advent... 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️ 😊👉 https://www.ich-geh-wandern.de/erlebnisweg-sieg-trupbacher-heide
Overall, a beautiful circular trail. It's certainly even more interesting when the heather is in bloom. The only thing that bothered me was the sometimes confusing, imprecise turn-off markings, as well as the lack of safety signs. It was impossible to get lost without a map/GPS. Perhaps this will be improved at some point. Other hikers complained about the same problems...
I started my hike today from the parking lot above the children's hospital. The trail initially led me through a beautiful deciduous forest, where I quickly realized that the route's name had nothing to do with the Sieg River, as I had initially thought 🫣. Okay, no big deal, as the rest of the trail was really lovely and led across a high moor, which I'm sure is in full bloom earlier in the year. Afterwards, the route continued through two nature reserves with fantastic, undoubtedly very old trees and across the Siegen city cemetery forest. Overall, I mostly walked on root-covered paths or trails completely paved with leaves. 👍🍂🍁 Great hike, highly recommended, even though some sections were quite muddy after the recent rain!!
The path connects the Tiergarten and the Trupbacher Heide. Both are an experience in themselves and, if you don't know them yet, should be explored individually. It's worth it! https://www.ich-geh-wandern.de/erlebnisweg-sieg-trupbacher-heide
A beautiful tour, mostly on paths, some of which were quite overgrown. You'd have to walk them again later to see when the heather was in bloom. Everything was now overgrown with ferns.
