The almost 63-kilometer-long round trip is perfect for leisurely cyclists, because despite the slight incline, there is always a view of the mountains. On the way, you will get up close and personal with the Chiemgau waters.
The town of Traunstein is recommended as a starting point for the cycle…

Today we had planned to do Brewery Tour 2 again. To avoid the heat, we arrived in Altenmarkt at 8:30 a.m. At lunchtime, we arrived in Stein an der Traun. We were able to round off the tour in a relaxed atmosphere in the beer garden at the Steiner Bräustüberl.
... the first loop in and around Lake Chiemsee... in wonderful weather/not too warm. Altenmarkt, partly along the Alz River, overall pretty good paths and often well signposted... then towards Traunstein, often along the Traun River, wonderful; "past" the town festival... a bit of searching here and there, resulting in slight deviations from the recommended/saved route. The Bosch Flow M E has been improved quite a bit!!! Then a drink on the way through 😏 further towards Chieming... a look at the lake, impressive, Mother's Day brought various guests 🙈 ... and almost back in Seebruck at the "Roman" bridge ... a wonderful start, i.e., the first tour in this very beautiful area 🚲💪😎😎😎🙋♂️
In principle, the tour only deviates minimally from the original route. I only took the liberty of adding two highlights: Hirschauer Bucht and Tüttensee. I would take this tour again at any time and recommend it to everyone
From Altenmarkt we went along the Alz to Seebruck. Now we rode along the eastern shore of Lake Chiemsee to Grabenstätt. Small mistake on my part, Whit Monday with nice weather was not the best time to ride along Lake Chiemsee due to the masses of cyclists. From Grabenstätt we changed briefly to Traunstein. From here we went along the Traun and the Mühlbach back to Altenmarkt. We had lunch in the beer garden at the Park Café Traunstein. It's a really great place and it certainly won't be the last time we see it. Did I mention that this tour is one of my favorite tours?
