This is the Cycling along Castles cycle route on Routen.be. Only we left the dog club in Beervelde. We only deviated from the junction route in one place: at the railway at the beginning of the tour the road was blocked so we took the dirt road on the other side. The biggest problem with the tour is that we saw few castles because of the dense bushes and leaves. So, better do this route in winter season. We therefore concentrated on the many chapels we encountered. And there were a lot of them. This is a flat, easy tour with several objectives to look forward to. If you live on the other side of Antwerp, this is a route to do on the weekend.
Nice quiet ride Unfortunately, most castles are so shielded that you can't see them 😕
