From Hersbruck, I start my bike tour directly on the Pegnitz. The sun is warming, spring is showing itself everywhere. The path leads past beautiful Pegnitz wooden bridges, bizarrely shaped rock formations, and always charming half-timbered houses, directly along the riverbank... a quiet, beautiful route through the awakening nature. The tour on the Pegnitztal cycle path leads me, among other places, through the historic and Easter-decorated towns of Vorrat and Velden. In Rupprechtstegen, I take a break in the Rastwaggon, an old, decommissioned train carriage. Afterwards, it continues to Neuhaus a.d. Peg. Back to Hersbruck, I comfortably take the bus this time.
