This route was planned by komoot.
After the weather had developed better than expected, we went on a connoisseur path to Durbach today!
A nice but cold hike. We left at 10.00 in the morning. Great opportunities for drinking and snacking.🤗 The path had been in my planning for a year
Beautiful tour, quite steep in between, partly sunny/shady
Very nice circular trail at the end of the valley, great views, be sure to take some change for the drinks and food vending machines along the way.
"The start and finish of the 10.3 km long circular route is the car park (P 1) at the Serrerhof in Durbach-Gebirg, approx. 4.5 km from the center of Durbach. If all the parking spaces there are already occupied, we recommend using Parking lot 2 at the "Wurzelmann" at the junction to the "Springhof". If there is no more space there either, you can also drive directly to one of the farms (exception: Hölzleberg) and start the hiking tour from there. From the starting point we already have the first of the seven farms in front of us, the “Serrerhof”. At each farm we will find an information board on which we will learn interesting facts about the eventful stories of the farms and their families. We pass the courtyard and the granary behind it on the left. The path now leads us straight ahead and steadily uphill along the old access road to the “Ritterhof”. Soon the valley opens up after a piece of forest and we have a view of a meadow orchard. Immediately afterwards we see the mighty gable of the “Ritterhof” in front of us. Between the farm building and Leibgedinghaus we keep left and follow the road or the path further uphill. Passing beehives and the “Grubenacker” waypoint, we reach the highest point of the hike after a piece of forest at the “Drei-Höfe-Eck” waypoint. At this signpost we turn left into a wooded area. We walk past a refuge without WiFi towards the next farm, “Hermannswald”. We pass the holiday home belonging to the farm and follow the signs to the right directly in front of the farm building. After a short climb we follow the slightly wider cross path to the left. The next section of the path runs on a forest path without major inclines, past the “Bechtolsberg” waypoint (shortcut to the starting point possible) until we reach a high plateau shortly before the next farm. From here we have a fantastic view of the valley. Staufenberg Castle can also still be seen. Shortly before the “Hölzleberg” we leave the field path and keep left, where a narrow path leads us directly to the farm building. We pass the farm area directly below the house and follow the right-hand bend after the farm building and shortly afterwards turn left onto a meadow path. After Christmas tree crops and orchards, we reach a small forest to the “Überm Halterhof” waypoint. We keep left on the forest path and can already see the “Halterhof” below us. Past an old wine barrel we reach the farm grounds, which we leave via a small path past the farm's own playground. The route goes downhill along a small stream to the “Krebsenbach” waypoint. Here, parallel to the road, a narrow path accompanies us to the next farm, the Gmeiner distillery. After the farm we cross the street and follow the Durbachtalweg until we reach the access road to “Hölzleberg”. We now hike down the valley on the road for about 400 meters to the waypoint “An der Güterhalde”, where we turn right from the road onto a small path. This is followed by the last major climb of the circular route with almost 100 meters of altitude to be overcome. We made it when we branched off from the forest path to the left into a narrow forest path - it goes downhill again. After the forest we reach the Springhalde, which offers us a completely different landscape. Accompanied by countless fruit and Christmas trees, we reach the impressive farm grounds of the “Springhof”, the last of our seven farms. Passing the old warehouse, we leave the “Springhof” behind us and begin the descent into the Durbachtal along the small path along the stream. Once we have reached the bottom of the wayside shrine, we now follow the Durbachtalweg up the valley to the left (past P 2 "Springhof junction") back to the starting point of the hike." Source: https://www.durbach.de/tour/gebirger-hoefe-weg-1d33689d78 Experience score: 67 points; 12% paths/narrow paths; 10.4km route This is a hike that is particularly suitable for a sociable group (because of the many refreshment stops). There are no vineyards on the path, so in autumn I would recommend the other two Durbach premium hiking trails before hiking this one. The partly old Black Forest farms and the views into the Black Forest are very beautiful. In my opinion, narrow paths or paths are rather underrepresented - so if hiking is the priority, there are nicer hiking trails in the area.
Very nice tour where you certainly do not evaporate or starve
Very great tour, past many Black Forest farms with countless drink stations and rest areas. If you die of thirst on this tour, it's your own fault 😅
Very beautiful and surprisingly entertaining hiking trail along wonderful dream houses.
