Ran for the 2nd time this year 🙂 There is also a video of the first time: https://youtu.be/Qlxc2vcwHas Very nice path 🙂
We start our circular hike at the hiking car park in Bad Rippoldsau-Schappach. Small paths and forest roads alternate on the way to the monastery, and the first few meters of elevation have already been conquered. On this trail, we are accompanied by the sound of the Wolf river and, due to the proximity to the road, we can also hear passing cars. After the descent to Bad Rippoldsau, we come across the Schnapps fountain, which serves not only alcoholic beverages but also soft drinks. Ice cream is available for purchase next door. Refreshed, we pay a visit to the monastery church. The interior of the imposing building is simple. Behind the church, we return to the hiking route and follow the path steadily uphill. We hike leisurely through the forest in the shade. Unfortunately, there are no benches for a rest on this part of the trail, so we unpack our picnic blankets in a clearing and enjoy the sun. Arriving at the Burgbachfelsen rock formation with its viewing pavilion, we are delighted by the view, and the children are delighted that it is now all downhill. The Burgbach Waterfall is a sight to behold, with a 32-meter drop. Here, we actually have to wait a moment until everyone has taken their photo. The walk back to the parking lot is relaxing, and we soon reach our car. We combined the hike with a visit to the Alternative Bear, Wolf, and Lynx Park.
The Klösterle loop - a simple, beautiful circular hike. The name suggests that the former Benedictine monastery Bad Rippoldsau is the actual destination of the tour. This monastery, which has been a branch (priory) of the St. Georgen monastery since 1179, is well worth seeing. In the 18th century it became an important Marian pilgrimage site and was given its current appearance. The current church was built in 1829 in a neoclassical style with a very simple interior. That is exactly what makes them interesting for me. It is not ostentatious but simple and simple and yet beautiful. We went the hike clockwise. This has the advantage that the actual highlight of the castle rock, on which a castle used to protect the monastery and the valley, as well as the Burgbach waterfall only wait for you at the end of the hike. If you arrive there in the evening, as we did, you have the advantage that the waterfall is no longer overcrowded and some rays of sunshine reach the waterfall, cliffs and waterfall enveloping them in particularly soft and intense colors. I always don't know what to admire more, the waterfall with its drop of over 30m, or the rock face next to it. In any case, it is good to take a little break here. On the way you can also discover one or two nice little plants. So my wife found the Wolfeisenhut to match the Wolftal. The Grießhaber family wishes you lots of fun hiking.
Immediately after breakfast, my mother and I set out for the next premium trail 😊 The tour was very different from yesterday, but also beautiful; lots of rocks, lots of water and a great, high waterfall 😍 Unfortunately, the recording didn't work out properly again 😏 ie the pictures will probably only be delivered later when I'm back in Annweiler
"The hike leads slightly uphill on natural paths and paths through the Wolfsschlucht to the "Schießhüttele", which gives us a wonderful view of the pilgrimage church Mater Dolorosa. Via serpentines we reach the mini golf course in the valley, we cross the Wolf and the state road and come to a short, crisp climb that starts at the Klösterle-Hof, the "Steig". The path takes us past numerous, small, refreshing mountain water springs to the Burgbach rocks and the Burgbach waterfall. From here we return to the starting point at the hiking car park via a wooden transport path." Source: https://www.wolftal-journal.de/premiumwanderweg-kloesterle-schleife/ Experience Score: 81; 60% narrow paths/paths; Distance: 8.32km; Altitude difference: 430; Sources: https://www.wanderinstitut.de/premiumwege/baden-wuerttemberg/kloesterle-schleife/ https://www.wanderbares-deutschland.de/wege/alle-wege/geniesserpfad-kloesterle-schleife-f026ba4c8a A short but very enjoyable hike. The high proportion of paths inspires and the Burgbach waterfall at the end is awesome. On the way, the view from the shooting hut, a visit to the herb garden and the Burgbach rocks are still tempting. Only the Wolfsschlucht has shown itself to be more of a path than a ravine. The gastronomy (Klösterle-Hof) also looks promising, but was closed on Mondays. But ok, that's whining at a high level. This is definitely one of the most beautiful premium hiking trails I've hiked this year.
Walked the Klösterleschleife in Bad Rippoldsau today, on beautiful paths almost exclusively through the forest, there was a pleasant coolness at the Burgbach waterfall, before we went back to Bad Rippoldsau via the Burgbachfelsen on the other side of the Wolf.
A little lap on the way home, started at 17 degrees and got back to the car at 32 degrees. Almost the whole way I was accompanied by two very nice women. That was so much fun. The path runs in the shade almost all the time, the waterfall is really impressive, you can get very close and could put your head under it 😀. That was a really nice finish in the Black Forest ❤️
