Absolutely beautiful hike! 🥰The only thing is the thing with the wine machines☹️
Today we are hiking on the "Durbacher Weinpanorama" gourmet trail We start at the festival site and climb up into the vineyards at the Laible winery to the Plauelrainer Köpfle lookout point. We come through a forest to the St. Anton chapel ruins. The path leads alternately through forest and vineyards until we see Staufenberg Castle in front of us! We drink a glass of Durbach wine on the beautiful viewing terrace and enjoy the wonderful view. We come back into a forest via the Brandstetter Chapel and hike slightly downhill to Durbach, with beautiful views all the time. We continue hiking in the Durbach valley along the stream to the center of the town and back to the festival site/parking lot. A wonderful tour that we can only recommend 😊👍
Directions The start and finish point of the hike is the festival grounds near the town center. We first follow the Durbach stream down the valley. Soon we reach the "Am Bühl" road, which we cross and continue to the Andreas Laible winery. Passing the winery on the right, we climb through narrow vineyard lanes before turning left onto a wider path. A little later, we reach the "Umsetzer" (transformer), which we pass directly behind to the left. Passing the neatly planted vines, we reach the pavilion and viewpoint at the "Plauelrainer Köpfle" (Plauelrainer Köpfle). After the initial climb, this offers us a wonderful opportunity to take a short rest and enjoy the panoramic view. We follow the path with views of the Rhine plain and then enter a forest, where we reach the ruins of the "St. Anton" chapel. A small path leads us to the "Maiglöckchenhütte" (Little Maiglöckchen Hut), where we find another original place to rest and enjoy the view. Continuing through the forest, about 200 meters past the Maiglöckchenhütte, we can't miss a sharp turn to the right. After a few meters, we leave the dense forest, and the unique Durbach wine panorama opens up before us again. Between forest and vineyards, the path leads us past the Hilsbacher Höhe into the next quiet forest area toward Wiedergrün. At the rest area, we follow the path to the right, which leads us through shady woods to the next climb. We are then rewarded with a fascinating view of Staufenberg Castle, Durbach's landmark and monument to Baden history. A visit, including a stop on the viewing terrace with a glass of Klingelberger, is of course a must! From here, a shortcut directly into Durbach's town center is also possible via the Burgweg (castle path). Refreshed, we continue on our way past the former Stollenburg, where there is also a highly sought-after "sky lounger" with the best view of Staufenberg Castle (TIP: ideal spot for the obligatory souvenir photo!). After a stretch of forest, we reach the Brandstetter Chapel. A short detour allows you to visit the Andreas Männle Winery with its impressive wine shop. We follow the signs on a gentle climb through the vineyards, before shortly afterward stopping for a rustic refreshment at the Hummelswälder Hof Inn. Here, the trail can also be shortened via the "Stürzelbach" stream. For all other hikers, a section of the trail begins from here, which is more heavily forested than before, but repeatedly interrupted by stunning viewpoints of Durbach, Staufenberg Castle (e.g., at the "Kasselberg"), and the Mooskopf. The descent begins via the Mahlengrund valley, returning to the Durbach Valley, which we rejoin at Immersbach. From here, the rest of the route presents no further difficulties, but we hike gently downhill directly along the Durbach River. Passing the Brandeckblick Vesperstube (restaurant) and the Hotel Restaurant Rebstock, we reach the center of Durbach. With the hotels Linde and Ritter, the cafés Müller and Zimmerer, the Bistro Ambiente and the Gasthaus Goldene Traube, you have numerous options to round off your hike with culinary delights and, of course, a glass of Durbach wine.
Beautifully through the Durbach vineyards past various wineries where you can also stop off at the end it goes through the village of Durbach
Hiked on the Durbach wine panorama in bright sunshine 😎☀️ 🥾
I have no idea why Komoot starts recording straight lines in the middle of the tour. Maybe I flew and I don't know anything because I drank too much schnapps or wine🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
Today we went to relax on the Durbacher Panoramaweg - a beautiful round with great views of the vineyards and towards the Black Forest.
