Vulkan-Genuss Hegau – on the trail of the world champions

On this tour you will follow in the footsteps of the mountain bike pros: in 2017 the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships took place around Singen. If you are similarly sporty, you can of course ride the route in race mode. But if you take it easy, it is doable for everyone. You should definitely take enough time to enjoy the beautiful panoramas. A highlight on the way is the baroque church of Peter and Paul in Hilzingen, which is worth a little detour. Along the way, an idyllic barbecue area and cozy places to stop for refreshments such as the Laurentiushof invite you to take a relaxing break.

The starting point of the tour is the Offwiese festival grounds in Singen. You will ride along the Aach, cross gentle hills and pass through dense forests. Finally, you will pass some picturesque villages and return to Singen along the local mountain of the nearby town of Gottmadingen. There are no endless climbs like in the Alps on the way. Instead, you will master many short and sharp challenges. Past impressive knights' castles, bizarre rock formations and wide river landscapes: this tour is varied and rewards you again and again with magnificent views.
