This route was planned by komoot.
This route to Salève doesn't follow the traditional route uphill; instead, you take the Annecy road and tackle the mountain from its base. There are still some peaks of 19% 🥵, but overall it's manageable, and the descent, via the traditional route, is pleasant, although you have to watch out for the potholes that aren't very visible in the undergrowth. Not too many cars on a Saturday, and the scenery is magnificent once you get up there.
